PANEL 4:
MOBILE GAMES: Publishers
Roundtable
Leading publishers
discuss strategies for success and evolution in the most
rapidly-changing landscape in the games business. The leading
Western players in handsets, console and Web games are setting up as
mobile game publishers; several carriers are experimenting with
white-label games publishing; the first "super-developers" are in
formation; and the direct-to-consumer channel is migrating from
Europe and Asia to the US. What are the keys to winning
relationships with developers, carriers, and traditional game
publishers? How and when can successful online games and brands
cross over the mobile games market? And, of course, can great games
make money, or must you have a licensed game or branded title to
succeed in the current mobile games market?
